Developing Leaders Across 99 Speedmart Through the Lead2Win Journey

From August 2025 to April 2026, EduAction partnered with 99 Speedmart to deliver a comprehensive leadership development journey through the Lead2Win Programme.

Designed as a progressive experiential learning series, the programme guided participants through four key leadership dimensions:

  • Leading Self
  • Leading Others
  • Leading Team
  • Leading Change

Rather than focusing on one-off learning experiences, the objective was to create sustained leadership growth through immersive challenges, reflection, application, and continuous development over time.


🟩 THE CHALLENGE

As a fast-moving and rapidly growing organisation, effective leadership at every level is critical.

99 Speedmart sought to:

  • Strengthen leadership capabilities across teams
  • Improve communication and collaboration
  • Develop leaders who could adapt to operational challenges
  • Build alignment and ownership across the organisation

The programme needed to go beyond classroom learning and create practical experiences that reflected real workplace dynamics.


🟩 OUR APPROACH

EduAction designed the Lead2Win journey as a structured experiential leadership pathway spanning multiple modules over several months.

Each module focused on a different aspect of leadership development, allowing participants to progressively build awareness, skills, and team effectiveness.


🟩 MODULE 1 — LEADING SELF

Activities:

  • Warp Speed
  • Amazeon
  • Tangle Mingle

Focus:

Participants developed greater self-awareness, adaptability, communication, and resilience under pressure.

Through fast-paced and dynamic challenges, they learned the importance of personal responsibility, awareness of others, and adjusting effectively in changing environments.


🟩 MODULE 2 — LEADING OTHERS

Activities:

  • Coach to Win
  • Colour Personality
  • Silent Chandi
  • RYF, BR & Stick of Honour
  • U-Point

Focus:

This phase focused on understanding people, communication styles, influence, trust, and leadership through empathy.

Participants explored how different personalities, perspectives, and behaviours impact team dynamics and leadership effectiveness.

The experiences reinforced the importance of listening, guiding others effectively, and building meaningful relationships within teams.


🟩 MODULE 3 — LEADING TEAM

Activities:

  • Lost Pyramid
  • Mount Tiki
  • KPI Settings

Focus:

Participants experienced the realities of team alignment, strategic planning, resource management, and collective execution.

Through immersive team simulations, they learned how effective teams:

  • Align towards shared goals
  • Make decisions under pressure
  • Execute together with clarity and accountability

🟩 MODULE 4 — LEADING CHANGE

Activities:

  • 4 Aces of Military
  • Break Through
  • Innopi Challenge

Focus:

The final module challenged participants to navigate uncertainty, innovation, pressure, and transformation.

Participants strengthened:

  • adaptability
  • decision-making under pressure
  • resilience
  • innovation mindset

The module reinforced the importance of embracing change while continuing to lead with confidence and purpose.


🟩 THE EXPERIENCE

Over the course of nine months, participants underwent a leadership journey that was:

  • experiential
  • reflective
  • practical
  • progressive

The long-term structure allowed participants to continuously revisit, apply, and strengthen leadership behaviours throughout the programme.

Rather than isolated learning moments, Lead2Win became an ongoing development journey that reinforced leadership growth over time.

Through the programme, participants developed:

  • increased adaptability and leadership confidence

Most importantly, the programme helped cultivate leaders who understood that effective leadership is not only about managing tasks — but about influencing people, aligning teams, and navigating change together.
